Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) is a commonly performed surgical treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia. This procedure surgically treat moderate- to-severe LUTS in men with prostate size of 30-80 mL. Strong Indications for Surgery are recurrent urinary retention, acute urinary retention, recurrent haematuria refractory to medical treatment with 5-alpha reductase inhibitors, bladder stones, and renal insufficiency.
